Zunanji monitor na prenosniku

Hi,
na novem prenosniku imam problem s prikazom na zunanjem monitorju, oz. na
projektorju. Nikakor mi ne uspe spraviti sliko iz masine pod X-i. Zadeve
je toliko bolj urgentna, ker rabim masino kot demo masino na Linux
konfernci.
Prenosnik: Dell LAtitude C840, graficna GeForce4 440 Go
XFree86 Version 4.3.0 (Red Hat Linux release: 4.3.0-2)

Iz konzole ni problema, mislim pa da ga muci huda resolucija na tej
skatli, ki je 1600x1200 in tudi ce definiram v /etc/X11/XF86Config
resolucijo 1024x768, potem se pozenejo X-i v sredini ekrana v tej pac
primerno manjsi (na 1600x1200 zavzamejo samo 1024x768, centrirano, okoli
pa je vse temno). Na projektorju je seveda tema. Obstraja opcija tipk
Fn+F7 (kao Font), ki potem raztegne to sloko po celem ekranu, vendar
projektor spet ostane brez pravega signala. Iskal sem ze po WWW glede
tega, menda so neke opcije za zunanji monitor, vendar mi ni uspelo nic
resiti.
Prilagam XF86Config.
Se tole: pod MS Windows XP zadeva dela brez problema. :-/
Mi lahko kdo prosim da kaksen nasvet glede tega.
