Mikka reported a sighting. The data is still dawning on him, so we may
have to wait for conclusions a while longer than expected. It isn't
clear yet whether it is actually a life form, though secondary
evidence clearly suggests that.

I say we wait. Meanwhile, we could concentrate on finding a practical
(if not final) solution of the question K.
