Security Notes
2.2.15 fixes an NFS exploit which depends on being allowed access to the
NFS server over the network. A patch is available to fix just this problem
if you do not wish to upgrade. If you use masquerading for security
purposes you should upgrade. 

2.2.15 fixes several local security issues. Several of these are
publically known. Systems with untrusted local users should consider an
upgrade

Fixed a bug in the AMD K6 write allocate cache setup 
Fixed a bug in AMD Athlon cache reporting 
Delay loops now try to use the TSC. Needed for Intel SpeedStep processors 
Added IDT WinChip2 MTRR support 
APM updates and fixes 
Support for RCC LE North Bridge chips in the PCI scanning 
Allow ptrace to do syscall redirection (needed for usermode Linux) 
Setup IO-APICs from the ROM table - fixes some Dell problems 
Synchronize the TSC's on a multiprocessor box. We still dont support two 
different CPU speeds together

The ELF loader now does more sanity checks and requires the ld.so is
readable. 
Masquerading 
You can now run with tighter UDP forwarding if you are running masquerade
for security purposes. 
Network drivers 
More configuration ioctls now require priviledges 
NFSD 
Fix sign handling bug. 
Unix domain sockets 
Fix denial of service problem.
