Hello,

Due to some code changes in the networking code of Linux 2.0.30,
the IP transparent proxying code does not work as expected.
This affects all systems running the 2.0.30 Linux kernel with
transparent proxy support enabled, using firewall redirect rules.

Everyone that needs transparent proxying is advised to downgrade
to 2.0.29. If you don't know what transparent proxying is, you
probably don't use it and don't need to take corrective actions.
Also, when you run a kernel with transparent proxy support enabled
but you don't use it (that is, you don't add firewall rules by
using ipfwadm's -r redirect option), there is no problem, as far
as we know.

Several people are working on the problem and we hope to have
solved the problem in Linux 2.0.31.

Regards,
