evo, prvo foro ze mam:

BEGIN {
  ...
  while (getline < FILENAME) {
	...

v gawk je FILENAME undefined v BEGIN bloku, v nawku pa naj bi bil.

workaround ... ah, se en getline prej udaris, pa se zgodi ena magija in
dela. whatever ... ;)
