-------------- next part --------------
Hi all,

To go straight to the point:

User should _freely_ choose which search engine with which capabilities is available:
1. Default.
2. Default advanced search.
3. Meta search (=use multiple search engines, i.e. Google, AltaVista, Yahoo, Msn, ...). AFAIK, there are more then 2000 realy good local SE on the world,
4. Advanced meta search.
5. User search (for instance, <http://www.google.com/webhp=en>.
6. Advanced user meta search - as meta search plus additional user options to narrow search as you might get bloated.

Such piece of code could be written in Javascript and applies to _any_ localization of FF.

As Firefox user and sworn Googler I normally don't use default search <http://www.google.si/> - which is setup by IP lookup and iritates me very badly (as it looks for results too close Slovenia). Instead of this I normally use <http://www.google.com/webhp=en> as a more objective search engine. And by default I switch off search engine updating as I really hate it.

And which one of the legendary search engines I liked the most since 1998?

AltaVista in Slovenian version, of course - it was my first search engine after Mat'Kurja and Slowwwenia back in 1998 after I met with the Internet. If someone of CEOs at AltaVista is reading this, they should know it's still highly popular in Slovenia as it means the legend of the Internet around here. Google is only the best available replica, SloVista <www.slovista.net> doesn't count as it is dead now... .

Raziskovalec <www.raziskovalec.com> is Slovenian local administration search.

Cheers, Jože
